    1) The countries where open defecation is most widespread have the highest number of deaths of children aged under 5 years as well as the highest levels of malnutrition and poverty, and big disparities of wealth.

    2) Avoidable deaths from childhood cancers in low and middle income countries result from lack of diagnosis, misdiagnosis or delayed diagnosis, obstacles to accessing care, abandonment of treatment, death from toxicity, and higher rates of relapse.

    3) Some 880 million people live in slums, and nearly 40% of the worldโ€™s future urban expansion may occur in slums.

Use Your Local Library Or Community Lending Hub.

Your local library offers free books for loan, including many new releases and will save you spending money on buying new books. And if they donโ€™t have a book you want, itโ€™s often possible to order it, if itโ€™s available from another library. And nowadays, you donโ€™t even need to visit the library in person to borrow books โ€“ you can go online and borrow ebooks and audio books.

But did you know that many libraries, together with a growing number of local community lending hubs, allow you to borrow other things like DVDs and even tools and other equipment? Libraries also have free clubs, free-to-use computer workstations, presentations and other activities. Thereโ€™s so much more to your local library than most people realise.

Americans are getting stronger. Twenty years ago, it took two people to carry ten dollars worth of groceries. Today, a five-year-old can do it.
