    𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘁𝘆 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘀:

    1) It’s estimated that more than 150 million people, or about 2% of the world’s population, are homeless. However, about 1.6 billion, more than 20% of the world’s population, may lack adequate housing.

    2) Today, approximately 8.9% of the global population is still practicing open defecation – meaning people are defecating outside, such as in a field or behind a home or a bush. This can lead to human faeces finding their way into food or water sources, polluting and causing disease among people in those communities. This could all be prevented with access to a toilet and adequate sanitation.

    3) In some countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, it’s estimated that there could be as many as 20% of children under 17 who have been orphaned, most of whom have lost one or both parents to HIV/AIDS.

    𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗶𝗳𝘁𝘆 𝗧𝗶𝗽:

    Check for drips.

Sounds trivial, but dripping taps can really lead to a very large waste of both water and energy. Making sure taps and showers are always turned fully off will not only save water but could also save you money too.
